Looking for more wins at Thruxton

July 31, 2018

The fifth round of the Hel Performance British Motostar Moto3 series is taking place at Jake's local circuit of Thruxton between the 3rd and 5th August.

The rider from Andover, is hoping that plenty of local support will help him continue his winning streak. He has stood on the top step of the rostrum in the last six consecutive races and leads the championship by 59 points.

Archer has been runner-up in the British Superbike Moto3 support series and is hoping that this year he will become the champion. Riding again for City Lifting on a KTM he has been almost untouchable winning seven of the eight races this season and finishing second in the other.

Last year Jake archer finished third in the first race at Thurxton having qualified fourth. He also set the fastest lap of the race with a 1:20.654. His lap time meant he started on pole for race two, which he went on to win in front of his home crowd, with an even faster lap time of 1:20.514.

You can see the 18-year-old on track from Friday 3rd August through to Sunday 5th August. Booking your tickets before the event will save you money and don’t forget to add on a paddock pass which may mean you get to meet our local sports star and his team.

Tickets can be ordered by phone on 01264 882200 or online at https://thruxtonracing.co.uk/racing/bsb.

Jake Archer said,” It was fantastic to win in front of people I know last year and I really want to do it again this year. Twice would be even better. It’s really motivating to race in front of your home crowd and I hope that lots of you will be able to come down and cheer me on.”
