Jake Archer continued his preparation for Round 4 of The Hel Performance British Motostar Championship at Knockhill in a fortnight's time, with a trip to Cadwell park on 03/06/17. He took part in the ACU 250GP National Championship race alongside rival Motostar rider Eugene McManus Junior.
Jake and City Lifting tested on the Friday with E15 Racing's McManus who supplied some much needed competition on race day. The pair continued their on track rivalry with some exciting racing after Jake had qualified in pole position, McManus close behind in second.
The 10 lap club race gave Jake an outing on track during the mid season BSB break, with his last action back at the beginning of May during Round 3 at Oulton Park.
In near perfect weather conditions Jake led from the front and despite McManus making several attempts to take the lead, Archer held on for a win setting a fastest lap of 1:35.801 during lap 4.
A delighted Jake added;
"We had 2 mega days at Cadwell and put in some very quick times considering it was a club meeting, the competition was really good, we have made massive improvements with the bike.
As always it was a real battle with Eugene, off track we are good mates but on track it's pretty fierce !! I was lucky to take a narrow win... I'm looking forward to Knockhill now in 2 weeks time."
Jake heads north to Scotland for Round 4 over the weekend 16th - 18th June with 2 races at the home of Scottish Racing. He is currently second in the championship behind team mate Tom Booth Amos.
