Round 7 Preview - Thruxton

Jake Archer has home advantage this weekend 4th-6th August, as Team City Lifting visit Thruxton for Round 7 of the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship.

Tom Booth Amos leads the pack by 4 points over team mate Archer but the Andover star goes well around the Hampshire circuit and will be looking to steal back the number one slot.

Jake Archer;

"Really cant wait to get started this weekend, I love my home circuit and have gone well there in the past, the aim is to get at least one win and keep the pressure on Tom"

In last season's visit Archer collected a third place podium and a DNF, Booth Amos had a weekend to forget with a DNF in race 1 and an 11th place finish in race 2, he will of course go better this time out on the RS Racing ktm and has won 8 of the 11 races completed so far. Expect Eugene McManus to be adding to the excitement as the three RS Racing ktm's go head to head.

Team City Lifting were at Silverstone this week testing for the forthcoming wildcard entries at the Octo British Grand Prix so both riders are arriving at Thruxton confident and raring to go. Thruxton is another British venue to make use of the post-war surplus of RAF airbases and is recognised as one of the fastest circuits in the country.

There is no doubting the two City Lifting riders will be leading the pack again this weekend, after picking up 10 of the 11 race wins so far, Jake will be looking to pinch one or two away from his team mate and add to his double at Knockhill. Consistent podium finishes have kept Jake in the hunt for this season's title and If he can add at least a win this weekend he will take this fight all the way....
