Jake determined to hit top spot.

Jake Archer continued to impress during today's qualifying at Brands Hatch for Team City Lifting.

The Andover youngster battled with a sub 50 second group of 7 to claim a second row start for race 1 on Easter Sunday.

Despite setting a 49.699 lap time Jake was frustrated suggesting he could have gone quicker:

" I had the pace to match the top 3 but It's tight on the Indy circuit and I got caught behind slower riders, I'm a little disappointed but know I can do better, I need a good start tomorrow and should improve on 6th position, I can definitely be a podium contender this weekend"

Last season's Championship runner up has the talent to push for the top step and his team are

keen to ensure Jake stays focused and positive. City Lifting, with Ryan Saxelby at the helm, are confident Jake will be in the mix throughout 2017. It's shaping up to be one of the fiercest battles on the BSB under card and one of the most exciting Championships around. Race 1 starts at 13.30pm tomorrow, keep up to date here at jakearcherracing.uk
