Jake hits the ground running with a win at Brands

Team City Lifting and Jake visited the iconic Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the weekend to unveil the new City Lifting RS Racing ktm for 2017.

Jake took part in the NGRRC - ACU 250GP National Championship and the Open 500 race for some much needed competitive track time and further testing with the new bike.

Jake and his new team mate Tom Booth Amos lined up on the front row of the grid after a comfortable qualifying session on saturday morning, with the weather conditions staying dry and improving all the time the team were confident of some good lap times on the 2016 moto3 GP machines

Jake got a great start, led every lap from start to finish and romped to an impressive victory clocking up the fastest lap time of 50.394.

Booth Amos completed a double for Team City Lifting with a win in the Open 500 race, Jake finishing in third, with both riders started from the back of the grid.the team were obviously delighted with the progress made by Jake picking up a race win was an added bonus. Team Manager Ryan Saxelby;

"This weekend wasn't about race wins having said that it was pleasing to see both riders competitive already, racing against some of the teams they will be up against in the Hel Performance Motostar Championship." Many of the team's sponsors attended this weekend to see the bikes unveiled in the 2017 livery and got the opportunity to see Jake winning on track.

Jake added;

"it was great to see so many people here today, I cannot thank the team and my sponsors enough, without their support this wouldn't be possible"

Jake now moves onto Donington Park on weds ( 22nd March ) for the British Superbike Official Test day .
