Jake Astounds Assen With Memorable Maiden Win

Jake Archer and Team City Lifting made the pilgrimage to the Cathedral of speed knowing that they needed a good result to hold off the late charge of Dani Saez.

Dani Saez has been something of a revelation in recent weeks, nonchalantly taking the battle to Charlie Nesbitt at Donington park and snapping at the heels of Jake Archer in the process but the honours were shared this weekend as the battling duo took a win a piece in a fantastic weekends racing at Assen.

Jake could only manage a battling 4th place in the first race of the weekend but he turned the form book on it’s head in the second race with a stunning maiden win that left the rest of the HEL Motostar field, floundering 12.689 seconds in his wake.

As a jubilant Team City Lifting Celebrated on the pit wall, Jake rightly took the applause of the crowd before being joined on the podium by City Liftings Melvyn Rogers.

A great end to a fabulous weekends racing but nothing is done yet, we still have 2 races left at the final round of the season, it promises to be a great end to what’s been a spectacular seasons racing.
