Cadwell Podiums & Panics for Team City Lifting
Cadwell park was the scene of an amazing comeback! Jake Archer proved once again that Team City Lifting are going to fight for every single point in this years championship
It was an up and down weekend that ended on a high for Jake Archer and Team City Lifting, with a second place finish already in the bag from the first race and a dramatic start to the second, Team City Lifting once again showed, you can never count them out, even with a misfiring bike.
Jake Archer rightly takes the plaudits for his fantastic performances in the two races but the whole team were incredible from start to finish this weekend and proved once again that they deserve to be well placed at the top of the HEL Motostar Championship.
Starting from the middle of the second row, Jake got a handy start, pushing past the quick looking Dani Saez. As they rounded the first bend it was a real close run thing with everyone trying to gain whatever advantage they could on this tight, tricky circuit.
Jake was clearly trying to find some space to work in and was now trying to push on, posting his fastest lap of the weekend a 1’34.9, as they came around to start the second lap Jake had forced his way into second place behind the seemingly unstoppable Nesbitt, Jake went on to cross the line in 2nd and bag another fine podium finish
Starting dead last, it was going to be a tall order for Jake to do anything in the second race but as we had seen earlier in the weekend, Jake was really up for it and despite the massive handicap handed to him by the earlier technical problem, he wasn’t about to be denied. Jake rode through the pack to finish in a brilliant 5th position.
What an incredible performance by team and rider! Not only to get Jake out onto the circuit, but for Jake to pull out a season defining ride and finish within 14 seconds of the lead after such a massive handicap is nothing short of incredible.
